Leah Missbach Day is a Chicago-based photographer, writer, teacher, and philanthropist. Professionally, Ms. Day may be best known for her role as a lead photographer for CITY YEAR 2000, a project that documented Chicago at the turn of the millennium. Receiving an MFA from Columbia College Chicago, Ms. Day taught photography for many years there, at Gallery 37 for the Arts and other institutions. Along with her photography and work in education, she is also one of the founders of World Bicycle Relief, a charity that provides bicycles to indigent people globally.
